Festival 2013 is on!!

The KDA and the GTA have combined resourses and will host the Ghana Paragliding Festival this year.  (March 29 - April 1)  Eight tandem pilots from France, Japan and the USA will be flying as many passengers that time and weather conditions permit. Numerous solo pilots will also attend the festival from the USA,  Japan, New Zealand, Belgium, Netherlands, Benin, Togo and Nigeria!  We look forward to another safe and successful event.

2013 Festival

If the current situation continues to progress, the Ghana Paragliding Festival in some form will occur March 29-31. At this time the GTA is unable to host the event. However, it appears a separate entity will have the resources to sponsor the festival.  As usual, tandem flights will be offered and space is limited. Solo pilots are also encouraged to attend as we expect excellent flying conditions.

On to next year...

Another year and another great, safe festival.  We had a fun, friendly and strong team of pilots that worked hard and enjoyed the hospitality of the Ghanaian people. The flying was superb, but challenging and we had to cancel flights the final day due to high winds.

We had the honor to be invited to the opening ceremony of some newly constructed classrooms at the Village of Hope.  The VoH was one of the recipients of the charitable funds we raised last year. We were very happy to be present and it was great to see that our efforts were helping the children of Kwahu.  A few new images from this year are posted below. 2012 "Team" is assembled...

The 2012 Ghana Paragliding Festival crew of tandem pilots is ready to fly. This year's team includes tandem pilots from the USA, Japan, South Africa, France and Norway. It will be difficult to surpass the record amount of tandem flights flown last year, (255), but we'll try! Here are the pilot profiles on Facebook

2012 Festival...April 6-9th

Preparations are just getting underway for the paragliding festival this year. We're looking forward to another successful year and hopefully another record setting event. We'll post information as it becomes available.
